Star rating: 4.9? Tails (out of 5) (We know. WE KNOW. But seriously)

Where do we even go from here? I mean, honestly. I don’t even know how it gets better than this? I feel like ending the review right there. It was as close to perfect as perfect gets. Go to there.

But I suppose I do owe *some* amount of detail. It’s hard to know where to start, but I think a place is genuinely made by its people and the people at Heritage, every single one of them, were perfect. The nicest, most sincere, most accommodating, lovely people we have ever had the pleasure of dining with. Period. Start to finish. This is not an exaggeration. From Debbie, to Doe to all of the folks around them seamlessly weaving in and out all night long, their flawlessly choreographed operation gives you an experience second to none.

The drinks are why we come, the experience is why we stay. The drinks were tremendous and we’re both still dreaming of the London Fog. The execution of the mocktail menu was about as close to perfect as it gets, the only slight miss was the NA Old Fashioned, but who cares when you have every other drink sitting at the literal top of all mocktail dreams. The Spiced Cranberry tasted like Christmas in a cup and absolutely no one would know that there was no booze in their French 86. Which, we believe has the cleverest little name. Since we were both not drinking alcohol this week we couldn’t review the other cocktails, but we will absolutely be back for Bridget to try their fabulous looking bourbon-based cocktails.

I mean, we were going back regardless. I’m sad we aren’t there at this moment, as I’m writing it. The food. My goodness. We started with the Deviled Eggs, everyone should start with the Deviled Eggs. I can’t wait for more of their Deviled Eggs. They were gorgeous and delicious, multiple different kinds, from spicy tuna, to fried rice, to beets and truffles. Oh my. We focused mainly on plates to share, we love a good appetizer or sharable. We also did their charcuterie board, it comes with way more than advertised (in this economy!?), so generous and so good. And we finally rounded it out with their pork belly and tuna plate. We hit all the major food groups and left so very happy.

Drinks: Almost perfect
Food: Perfect
Service: Perfect

Our trip to @heritagetavern was so amazing. I feel like we say that a lot but this was just such a fantastic experience, amazing is about the only word that works.

The staff was absolutely terrific from the time of our reservation until we walked out the door. Drinks and dinner 👩‍🍳 😘

The #mocktail menu was in the MIDDLE OF THE PAGE smack dab in between the cocktails and draft beers. It’s the little things people!
