Who are we?
Bridget Esser & Katy Ripp.
Bridget is a drinker of alcohol, Katy is not. Bridget regrets this at least 4 days a week, Katy does not. Bridget has brown hair, Katy does not.
Katy has a husband, Bridget does not. Katy regrets this at least 4 days a week, Bridget does not. Katy naps every afternoon, Bridget does not.
And, together we feel that on any given day, there are 540,351 different reasons not to drink. You’re pregnant, you’re not. You’re ill, you’re not. You’re waking up early in the morning, you’re not. You’re sober curious, or you’re not.
We don’t care about your reason to drink or not to drink and we certainly don’t judge you for it*, we just want a Friday night where Bridget can enjoy a cocktail without the persecution of Katy’s mocks.
What is this Mocks & Cocks?
Mocks & Cocks is a brand created by Bridget & Katy to highlight the need for equitable social experiences for the drinker, the non-drinker and everyone in between.
It’s simple. Stop making it weird.
Why Mocks & Cocks?
We have been conditioned to believe we need “something” in our hand while socializing. Unfortunately, the most common experience for anyone ordering a non-alcoholic beverage can be an uncomfortable one for all involved. For instance, can we please stop serving club soda with a lime in a giant plastic cup? We can tell you with almost 100% certainty anyone ordering that particular drink does not want to call attention to the fact there there’s not booze in it. More on that later…
We recognize the glaring discrepancy in social experiences and want establishments to be more inclusive. Bottom line, we should all get to be in the same places and at the same events and not be made to feel different simply by our beverage choice and glassware.
And because cocks can stand on their own, it’s the mocks that need the stroking. And nobody is more upset about this than Bridget, the drinker.
Sharing is caring.
We’re taking this show on the road. Our intention is to explore options for the drinker and non-drinker. You. Follow Mocks & Cocks on all the social media platforms, join our newsletter list and catch us LIVE on #tailsuptuesday where we review all the mocks and cocks. The blog will include Mocktail Monday and Thirsty Thursday recipes and articles about pretty much anything alcohol related, or not.
