The French 75 is a cocktail made from gin, champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. The drink dates to World War I, and an early form was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris—later Harry's New York Bar - refreshing and airy - this is a perfect cocktail for showers and summer happy hours alike.

• Lemon wedges

Condiments

• 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
• 1/2 oz Simple Syrup

Beer, Wine, Liquor

• 3 oz Champagne
• 1 oz Gin

Instructions

Instructions

1. Add the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled
2. Strain into a Champagne flute
3. Top with the Champagne
4. Garnish with a lemon twist
5. Enjoy!
